Underdog ResQ is run entirely by volunteers. Without the contributions of
these individuals, the organization would not exist today. However, we are
constantly growing and are constantly in need of help. There are a variety of
volunteer opportunities open and we need caring and talented people like you to
fill them. Ready to hop on board? Look through the list below and select any
position descriptions that match your skills and expertise. Just want to lend a
little time? No problem! We need all the help we can get and are happy for any
and all assistance we receive-even if you just want to help out with an upcoming
event. All you have to do is complete our short volunteer application. Keep in
mind that most communication to volunteers occurs through the internet so access
to a computer and email address are essential. Oh, and be sure to peruse the
site to learn about all of the wonderful things that Underdog ResQ has been up
to and what the future holds for you if you join us. We'll give you even more
information when you complete the application.
Although it is a dream to have one in the near future, Underdog ResQ does not
currently have a brick and mortar shelter. All underdogs live with foster
families until they are adopted. We do not have dog walking or cleaning
volunteer opportunities at this time.

Dogsitting Dogsitters are needed when foster parents go away for
the weekend or vacation. The last place the dog wants to be is in another cage.
If you are interested in dog sitting you'll need to complete a foster
application and go through the same training as a foster parent would. Volunteer

Events
- Event Assistant: Ready to spread the word and get Underdog ResQ and
our pooches noticed? Help promote Underdog ResQ at events that take place in
local stores, pet expos, and other events.
- Event Leader: Think you're up to leading the pack? Event leaders
usually begin their volunteer work as event assistants. Once you and Underdog
ResQ agree that you are ready to represent the organization on your own you can
and will be promoted to this position. Events are essential to spreading the
word about Underdog's mission and work, recruiting foster homes and volunteers,
and soliciting donations. The more people we have to represent the organization,
the more events we can attend. We currently attend some events in Massachusetts
but we'd like to branch out and do more. We'd also love to start getting our
paws dirty by digging into in the NY, RI and CT communities.

Animal Transporter Our precious pooches don't walk themselves to
events, veterinary visits, new homes, etc. They rely on caring volunteers to
transport them safely to their destinations. It is helpful to have volunteers in
various areas of New England and the Tri State area to make tag team
transportations or home visits possible. Without these individuals, we would not
be able to cover such far ground. Volunteer

Home Visits When processing a foster or adoption application,
Underdog ResQ performs casual home visits. This is where we need the most
volunteers. Potential mommies and daddies contact us from all over the New
England and the Tri State area. The more volunteers we have in each area the
faster we can complete adoptions and accept foster and forever families.

events to spread the word about Underdog resQ. Additionally, even though we know
our pups are the cutest, a little expertise and professional scheming could make
them look irresitible on the web site. Volunteer
